Slow and sustainable fashion has always been something that we aspire to provide while practising Australian fair trade. What does this exactly mean?
Many of our knitwear and accessories are handmade by our partner artisan community in Indonesia. The clothes that we offer to our boho-loving ladies are not made and produced in factories. Most of our knits are created through traditional knitting machines to ensure superb quality and artisan love with every piece.
Cienna Designs has been supporting, collaborating, and working with this community for over 15 years, allowing them to express their love for their craft and creativity through their unique designs.
Some may think that we are taking advantage of Indonesian work and outsourcing to cut costs, but this couldn’t be any more wrong. What we have is a partnership built on years of trust, creative expression, and mutual understanding and love for sustainable fashion.
We believe that our partners deserve recognition and just compensation for all the work that they do — letting money flow back where it needs to.
